My tractor is plenty nose heavy. I can't really go any higher with the drawbar. Would it do any good to shorten it, and move the hooking point closer to the axle? Thanks!

Looking at the rules on the usap website they have a min drawbar length, but not a maximum. Wouldn't you want the longest drawbar possible? Obviously I am new at this and just trying to get this figured out. Doesn't make any sense to me why they don't have a maximum length in the rules.

You're gonna have to trust me on this one. The longer your drawbar, the more it will pick up on the nose. Ever seen a teeter totter with the fat kid and the skinny kid? Where does each go?

I think you mean, "I can't pick the nose up", what should I do?"

If you LENGTHEN the drawbar, it will tend to put more weight on the rear of the tractor and lift the front end. If you shorten it, it will reduce this.
