Curious if anyone knows of a high altitude or LP head for a 148ci case engine. Any other heads fit this engine? Poor head design, and no meat to grind to make it any better.

Filling the head has crossed my mind. I still want to keep the tractor semi operable beyond pulling. I also though of milling the area between the cylinders and having someone weld in some solid chunks of steel. The I'd be free to grind all I wanted. The only problem is lowering the compresion. The head doesn't have any meet for milling to raise the compression to something respectable. Turd Ferguson is the name you use when you forget your ID and password and don't want to forget it again. Plus it makes the posts harder to forget.

some of the massey guys fiil the heads with hard block then port to their needs,It evidently works for I have seen some mean 44's lately. Air doesn't care whether it flows over cast or hard block!!
