I purchased a Massey Harris 101 Junior last year and plan to enter the local antique tractor pull. The local tractor pull is small, under 20 tractors. I don’t plan on being competitive but don’t want to embarrass myself. Not ever owning tractors before my concern is if this tractor will make it past the first pull. I don’t mind coming in last place, but would like to at place at least second to last.

The tractor has a 4 cylinder f162 continental engine in it. I am currently working tuning the engine to run correctly. Also can anyone suggest some resources for a newbie to the sport?

Get the rules from the local pull where you plan to pull. Hitch height, tire size, engine mods, type of weights/brackets, air cleaner type rules all need to be addressed before you pull. Stay in the low/1st gear only "farm stock" or division 1, (whatever they call the bone stock classes) where you should be competative.

Be safe and have fun!!!
