My brother put a 13mm and a 3lm turbo on my stock 1066 with 9300 hrs. It blows black smoke and fire at the pulls and does well. But I am told to quit that or I will blow a head gasket. What do you people think??? Will it be ok, because man it runs nice. I am finally compettitive. The only problem is it really has alot of blowby when pulling. Will it last??? The brother said he don't know, if it lasted this long it should be fine. Thanks in advance

I think the word stock is a stretch here with that 13mm pump and the 3lm turbo. I would add water & alcohol injection if it was me. The fire coming out of the exhaust is probably hot enough to melt the top of the pistons. I have used just a windshield washer pump and a small sprayer nozzle in the air intake. Water alcohol mix approx 50% each. It will cool down the cylinders & add about 50-80 HP. Just my thoughs from a long time ago with that particular tractor model

How much HP and manifold pressure are you running?Don't be surprised if you do.If you have allot of blowby she's getting tired.

I don't have a clue what it is running. It blow fire about 4 inches out of the stack at 2600rpms and the blowby mushroom clouds off the ground. It is awesome

Sure you might blow the gasket, so what. Thats part of the business. Lots of 400 series engines are o-ringed for that reason but your engine could go a long time. If you go to a 466 or cam or hi compression pistons it will make it worse. Keep pullin! Good luck.

Thanks sheepdog. I talked to another person and he said that is good it has some blowby because it takes presure off the headgasket because the motor is wore out. But heck it pulls great I am going to leave it alone.
