I think the original Cajun Queen belonged to Sidenstricker Implement (John Deere dealer)in Mexico, Mo. You might call them, they are still in business.

I am talking about the 4010 that was built at O'Malley Implement in Pittsburg, KS. I know the owner and the mechanic that built it. Then it was worked on in Oswego, KS, now rumor has it that it is in Independence, KS. No question about it, this was a 4010. This was turboed, aftercooled and laser injectors, pre- 1979? This is the tractor I am after. Back in it's days it was a hot little tractor, but now it is probably outdated but would make a good local Div VI smoker tractor. Anyone know about this one?

The 4020 and 4320 tractors were bought by Dave Schrier in Wisconsin and were named Green Power Special. Van Botkins of Sydenstricker Imp in Mexico, MO was responsible for building the 4020, 4320, and 4430 that all carried the Cajun Queeen banners. They were AWESOME!

By the way....the John Deeres that Botkins built and ran were about the only Green tractors that could handle the likes of John Klug, Lee and Phil Aylward and the rest of the Red boys until Ernie and Warren Ropp came out with their 4430. Carl McQueen and Kenny Smith were also tough with their Green tractors.

hey not to be a whinner, but do you remember the Gypsy 4430 now that was a the tractor that ruled the red boys . i foundout that Don Masterson bought it and made the best prostocker for alongtime . he just sold her to someone in Tenn.

HECK YES! That was one of my all time favorite tractors when I was pulling at Louisville. That was one of the neatest appearing, stock looking, bada$$ John Deeres!

I think if i"m right Don Eldert was the owner of that name out of Gillman ILL. It had a trycycle frontend and he pulled the 15000 and 14000 and won both in i think 77 and 78. i have never seen a tractor that acted just like it owned the track like it did. Our 4430 runs alot like it but still along ways from it . Dickie Sullivan and Danny Dean knew when it came pulloff time that he had there number . Don Masterson sure did the tractor good bye all the wins he had in the prostock class with it . but it"s gone now and so is the river rat they have built new ones and they are just as tuff. hey e-mail me sometime i"d like to get to know ya and maybe get some ideas . gonna go out on a limb this weekend and try to put the ole DODGE on the track she"ll be puttin out around 450 to 500 hp hope the clutch holds .loldo you know Night Life and Barely Gettin BYE, Gotta GO Deere, and the Green Streak teams ? they are all close by here.

well i think the little ole 4430 has proven over the years by alot of first places. and as for Dodge why don"t you just show up at Terra Haute and see what wins everything . i"ll be willing to bet that there"s a black dually in the ss class that can win anywhere anytime . just look at his record !
