is there a certain epoxy that will fix a crack that is on the outside of an engine block. it is only cracked on the outside and coolant is leaking out, the crack is about a 1/16 wide by 3" long. don't want to take apart and weld. thanks

Using my grandpappy's advice, I'd tell ya to at least drill and pin the ENDS of the crack to keep it from spreading...then if you want to take a grinder and "vee" it out and either brase or JBWeld it, that's up to you.

A good automotive machine shop can pin it shut which will also stop it from continuing to spread. They drill and tap small holes along the crack and thread in taperd cast iron pins works very good and not to expensive.
