I love my MM, but I know Case makes a good low-end big slow motor too. A Case LA and MM G were same size, rpm, and hp. Does anyone pull an LA out there? I do not know much about Case, but probably they are my 2nd favorite tractor to watch pull. I like the interchangeable parts of my MMs. You die hard Case guys got some pulling history? Leroy Nurenburg's 400 sure gives our UB a run for it's money.

mythoughts the same, if i didnt collect case i would have mm's we have a LA going to pull with us this year, i pull a DC and do quite well, last year at GOSHEN IND out pulled them all inthe 6500 and 7000 class, i think a case 600 would be the one to get if i wanted to haul all that weight around dctom

Well, I have to agree here too, but I collect the red ones,,,,, , LOL sorry TOM! gotta go red, but,, this little ZAU MM we have is a great little tractor!! it has the 206 ci engine, 43 hp, been wanting to pull a plow with it for the longest time!! Molines are excellent tractors, and yes, CASE tractors are super tough too, just go pull against DCTOm once and he will be happy to educate one and all with his case pullers. Never owned an older case to really know what the potential is, but have been educated enough to know that they are tough. I like the smaller MM tractors, like the R,Z,J series tractors, just like in the case models, the V series tractors too! CHad

If you like the little MMs, I've got some interesting projects going if I can finish them. My 1939 RT is almost ready. I just bought a junk ZAU and ZTU. The real show will be my puller Twin-City JTU. It may be a year or two, but this thing will ROCK. I wanted the one old oddball piece of junk that no one pulls. I just finished collecting the pile of parts to assemble it. There will be nothing like it. Ought to give H and WC pullers a run for their money if I am careful and do it correctly.

Years back, in our club, there was a few old twin city molines that pulled, they were tough!! light too! they could get right under me in the weight, and beat me in the percentage! It has been 7 or 8 years since the last time I seen them pull with our club, but I think they still have them around, they were not stock, to the best of my knowledge, sure had plenty of power though. Dad and I came across this ZAU last year at a farm sale, it looked good, ran, took her home too! I pulled it one time at the first pull last year, and got a 2nd with it! pulled her heart out! I liked the way it pulled, gets those rpm low, and slow, and pulled, and kept on going! Chad

Yeah. Those were pretty somple odd motors but seem to do ok for their size. the 165/185/206 are interchangeable.....plus a few other secrets!!! I like the later overhead valve 206 engines. Peppy!!! 165/206/220/236 are also similar. Need I say more? I call them the MM small blocks.

This one still has the valves on the side, and the manifold is on the top. nice long intake!! She takes a breath!! I think these have alot of potential for cubes and HP, I just cant bring my self to tear in to it, it just runs so good! Sometimes, a nice old stocker is just nice to have around, still want to hook a plow up to it someday, I think this Zau would plow my Super H under with the same plow! Still has the weights on the rear, fenders, lights. Always starts right up!
