buy cheap, tune it up and beat anything else in the same class. we pull them and may have to quit soon. we are tired of hauling all the trophies home.

seriously, use gas intake and pistons over kerosene, good tune up and enjoy

In my opinion this is the only brand to pull. I have a VAC that I won the Mo. State Fair with in 2000 and placed third this year with it. I also have a 900 Case that I pull with a turbocharger in the stock 6250 classes. I won the morning and evening shows at the fair this year with it. I also took first more than any other place through the year with it. On the smaller ones getting the heads to flow is their biggest drawbacks. Other than that I have not had much problem tearing any other brand up that is close in size. Horsepower can be built for any kind of tractor. The availability of parts it the main problem for some. You can buy JD and Farmall stuff all day long as far as performance parts go. The Case guys usually have to make their own. But more times than not the red and green pullers don't know enough about the sport to build themselves a competitive tractor. That is why you will see a whole bunch of them at a pull and only one or two do any good. If an underdog brand puller comes in and knows his stuff, then the competition is in trouble. That has been my experience anyhow.
