I am experimenting with an "M" Farmall carb to put on a Super M for stock pulling. I have drilled the main fuel jet and I know I need more air, what diameter should I widen the venturi to? I was light on the main fuel jet I thought I could test it a few times.

Drill it out to 1.0" to start with. That should be about right for a SM. Drill the main jet out to .093 (3/32) or bigger. You can always turn the fuel screw in to lean it out.

I don't mean to start anything, but I tried that this morning, the 806 venturi worked the best this time. I started with a SH venturi, and bored it out, could not get the flow right. I think the flow was wrong. But, the .093 jet was close. Like I said, I don't want to start a war again, just wanted to tell you that part of your advice was correct. ChadS

Thank You ATHYRIN for the input. I almost gave up after the last discouraging response. I had the venturi "chucked up" in my lathe waiting and I am going to bore it to 1 inch.
