Unless you are realy into hand labor you need a 7 or 9" angle grinder or high cycle as they are known around here. You also need a stiff cup type wire brush for castings and flex backing for sanding disks to be used on the sheetmetal. I use 36 grit but be carefull on edges or raised areas as it will grind thoprugh high spots in the metal quickly. A coat or two of paint stripper will remove most of the paint on the sheetmetal but I wouldnt use it on the castings since it can remain in the pours. I would use an economy automotive system to paint it myself consisting of an epoxy primer and urethane top coat. You will have another $100 or so in the paint job over tractor store paint but have 10 times the quality. PPG Omni and Dupont Nason are their economy lines. A search of this forum will give you part numbers and cautions for both of them.
