OK, I finally managed to find Ospho. I'm happy and excited!!! Reading the instructions on the jug, it says it's a primer. Yet, when I here about others use it, they prime over the phosphate coating... Any advice?
Also, what are your thoughts in regards to using this stuff in small (1 gal) gas tanks that are not shot out, but just surface rusted on the inside? (like for an old Briggs) Can I add a few ounces and slosh around, and pour out???
One of the first uses I'll be doing is cleaning up some oxidized aluminum, and that seems pretty straight forward... But I'd love to learn more about the product, and hear what you guys have to say... Hoping for some tips and tricks...
Thanks in advance,
Adam

Just used it once, and waiting for long term results. Seems ideal for Dozer under carriages that are always being hit with dirt and difficult to keep paint on at all.

The phosphate coating will hold off rust temporarily, its there to help paint adhesion too but isn't a subsitute for regular primer protection and adhesion for top coats. Follow the instructions on scuffing any build up, some judgement is needed on your part there.

I have no advice on the gas tank idea.

Try posting your ? on tool talk too. I once read a thread with several ospho comments there. If it works as promoted its a major break through.
