I have painted many Farmall's with 2150 it does look orange at first but give it time it does seam to go away after a while. Case IH also sells a bright red it doesnt have the orange tint.

I believe that is normal, PPG's version is even more orange. Don't think the hardener had any thing to do with it. I assume you mixed the contents of the can good before you opened it?

yes I mixed it really good . it is a slight tint of orange but it may be the way the sun reflects off it . martin seniour has a IH red I wonder if that would be worth trying ? it is about$ 50.00 a gallon .

I don't know -- there are two IH reds: 2150 for post 1949 tractors and IH 50 for pre-1949, I don't know the exact date of the change, and have not used IH 50, so I can't tell you the difference. My understanding is that the two colors don't differ much. All major paint companies can mix either one. The PPG code for IH 50 is PPG 70019, DuPont 7410, Sherwin Williams 224, Don't know what Martin Senour is.
