Has anyone had good luck spraying Rustolium?

Rustoleum is cheap paint, just like all alkyd enamels, if you mean spray GUN paint. It will look ok for a while, but will quickly fade, requiring frequent waxing. It is 30's technology, literally. If you mean rattle can paint, that's worse. I have read on this forum that Rustolem also has an acrylic urethane, no idea about the quality of it, but it is inherently better paint. I doubt if that is what you mean.

I sprayed a Farmall 460 utility with it (rattle cans) about 6-7 years ago. Ground most of the rust off with a wire wheel. That tractor sat outside a lot. In less than 2 years, the red on the hood was black again. If your going to all the trouble of cleaning a machine up, I'd use a better paint. Larry NE IL
