For a Graham-Bradley tractor with a 6 cylinder continental engine, 226 cubic inch, I need to know the tappet setting.

The 1949 Thompson Repair and Tume-up Manual says to set Intake and Exhaust at.010" (hot). Remember, this was in 1949 and the valves may have been changed since then!

My books say .014 hot for the valves but the bore says 3 5/16.

John My orginal Graham-Bradey Tractor Shop Manual, form the Graham- Page Motors Crop said;
Running and hot set at .010. Final ajustment Two feelers should be used .008 and .010. The .008 feeler should pass though freely while the .010 feeler should be fairly tight. Points are .018.
