My brother has a 1947 LeRoi Tractair in running condition. We are trying to find out anything we can about this tractor. We know if was used at airports to blow up the plane tires in WWII. It has a built in aircompressor on the side and is very unique. We have been told that only a few have ever been build and when researching it found the company no longer makes them but lucked out when they actually found a manual for us. If you have or know of anyone who could help us find out more about the tractor please let us know.

The tractor you have was made in Greenwich,Ohio by the Central Tractor Company. They mainly made the walk behind tractors but for a few years they made centaur tractors with sicklebar mowers that the county and state used to mow roadsides. They also made the tractair that airports and the railroads used. There are a few around but they are not a real highly collectible tractor. I have a 1947 Centaur with the sickle bar that I restored 2 years ago and they a really neat little tractor.I live in Greenwich so if you need anymore info just e-mail me and I will see if I can help you out.
