My friend Ray from New York recently sent me some pictures of a MITY KAT crawler and I would be interested in any information about these machines that might be available.

It is a small crawler (around 2000 pounds I would guess) and is very similiar to the Beetle Tractor in many design aspects (see pictures of the Beetle Tractor at:>Link

Thanks..... ..... ..... .....=)

Can anyone help me. I have a friend who has a Mity Kat, he thinks it it a 1948. Where can we find out more info, such as who built it, where, how to get parts and any other info that a person just starting his research on this item would need to know. Thanks much for your help.

I have two Mity Kats I ran them for small landscape jobs for a few years and am recently rebuilding them to do some more work. The motors are made by Hercules Motors in Canton Ohio now out of buisness. I was given an address of a company that has rebuild kits Olsons Gaskets,3059 Opdal Road E.,Port Orchard, WA 98366 360 871-1207. Parts seem scarce but as solid as these machines are there must be parts around. I have done a lot of work with them and they are great machines that will push a lot of dirt. I have a parts list and a maintenance book for them if you need a copy let me know. I may be able to help you with some info.
