Information Please Like the year? of a KM 1461531Centaur Tractor, Engine 211497 model D140-1 how many were built? other models? How long they were built? things like that. I would like contact with other owners.

Yours is a '46. Other models were KV, KVM, M, CI, and AG48. They also made a Tractair, tractor/air compressor.

Thanks for the info. It had a date on the batery box that said 1945 NewYork State Highway dept. Do you no how many were built? Thanks again!

Unfortunately I have not been able to find any production numbers, apparently they were destroyed, when the company changed hands. Up until 1949, the first 1 or 2 numbers represented the month, the next two the year, and the rest were the number built.

Did Centaur build their own engine; or, did they use Continental or Hercules or something? Were they made in the US.
