If you own an Avery A (with a Wico mag with a Hercules engine), please run out to your machine shed and then come back and answer these questions for me:

If I face the magneto from the tractor seat, which terminal on the mag is the #1 wire, the top right, bottom right, bottom left, or top left?

What is the firing order?

Am I correct in assuming that the wires are installed in clockwise order?

Knowing this would save me a lot of time finding out the hard way. Someone has removed all of the plug wires. Thanks

Firing order is 1243. The service manuel says its marked and dosn't say which one. If timeing gears where not removed the roter will point at number 1 or 4. the book sayes to instal to dc mark, then adjust mag. so points just start to open with flywheel on spk mark.
