Has anyone ever heard of a Buick tractor? Someone is willing to give a tractor to a friend of mine and told him it was a Buick. He's a lifetime farmer/countryboy and has never heard of one. Any info would be appreciated.

It would be a doodlebug. I'm looking for one. Is your friend interested in selling it?

Please respond.

Thanks jt

Is this a homebuilt tractor, made from Buick parts? I've seen a few homemade tractors which used old car/truck/whatever parts.

Most likely it is a doodlebug, a homemade tractor, made from a Buick. They usually kept everything from the cowl forward, shorten the frame, and add a truck rearend. Buick didn't make tractors. If it is a Buick doodlebug, it would still be worth saving. Model A's and T's were the most common cars to be converted into dood

My grandfather's sale bill listed a Buick tractor in 1947. I was very young and have no memory of ever seeing it.
