In Little Britches, a turn of the century autobiography set in eastern Colorado, they use a Bull Rake and a Bull Stacker to stack
hay. In Montana we used Beaver Slides but do not
have any information about Bull Stackers. Does
anyone have any memory of such a device or better
yet, pictures? My students would love to hear
from you if you can help us.

Thanks.

I just came across this site. Are you still looking for this information? When I was a kid on a farm in Missouri, we used a bull rake to gather the hay and transport it to the stacker (which we referred to just as a hay derrik, I don't know if they are one and the same). If you are still interested, I will try to locate a picture or porvide a drawing - based on memory.
