My son in law has recently been given an Ottawa Mule Team tractor. it is an 8.5 hp Wisconsin air cooled with a three speed trans and crank start. The engine is a model AENS. Serial # 1355630.
It has no compression and we suspect some serious Engine work will be required. I am wondering if any of you might have Owners Manuals, shop manuals, general information, literature or any other material that will be of assistance in trouble shooting and repairing this machine. It is in beautiful condition. It looks almost new (but is quite ill on the inside).
Also, might anyone know if parts are available, and Where they might be acquired. I am a Ford 8N guy so am at a loss to help my Son in law with the project.
Thanks
AL Amstutz

Things may not be a bad as they seem.. Wisconsin engines of that vintage are prone to warped valves due to being shut off when too hot. I once bought five of them from a garage as junk. Four were easily fixed with a new exhaust valve. Of course the lack of compression could be something more major, but again it might not. Overall they are a very tough and reliable engine. Best of luck.
