I have two Springfield 25"s my dad has had in storage since we stopped using them in the mid 70"s. They date back to 1959 - 1962 timeframe. I"ve just started a refurbish effort on both. Sand blast everything & repaint as close to the original scheme as possible. Front wheel footrest/fenders need some welding work.... Fun project already. Actually got the oldest one to crank today after almost 30 years. Carb and gas tank need a good cleaning. Very well made lawnmowers. Hard to find any information on these on the internet... Briggs web site doesn"t have engine info on the oldest model engine. The other engine was replaced in the late 60"s and is light brown instead of the factory white - have diagrams on it. Both are 4 hp.

Can't help you on the mower, but I have a small, ground drive, vibrating cultivator made by Springfield. Will never let it get away from me. Well built. Only one time I saw some thing on "springfield" would like to know more too.
