I appreciated the comments on the Graham Bradley tractors posted on this list as my husband purchased one on the weekend. We had not seen one before. It was pulled in from a fence row (is stuck obviously) and is in need of restoring. I noted in the Antique Power classifieds that there are few ads, and when one is listed for sale it is several thousands dollars. Ours has a narrow front, does have the mechanism for pulley power, slender rectangular metal plate on the right stating "Graham Bradley", has Sears Roebuck letters on the front above the grill; and has stamped characters, ie. serial number, on the engine. I can't find a tractor serial number anywhere to establish its year - could someone knowledgeable about these tractors tell me where to look, or is the engine serial number what I need to interpret for year made? It has no curtains. Kindly advise too, what an unrestored Graham Bradley tractor is worth? I don't have pictures yet, but can provide more description after looking at it again this evening. Thanks much, Dee.

Update: Last night (04/05/04), my husband discovered the engine is NOT stuck. PTO turns too. Would a G-B pro please guide us on determining the correct model? Thx, Dee

there are 2 models of Graham Bradleys, 503.103 is row crop, 503.104 is standard model. years built 1937-1939, seriel # should be under the dash on metal tag, i don't have any breakdown on the numbers. Antique Power vol.12 issue #1 has very good articles about these tractors, try and get one. where are you located? i have 1 restored, also have two parts tractors for sale. let me know if you have any more ???

Produced by Joseph, Robert and Ray Graham
In 1928 they acquired Paige Auto Co. in Detroit
Used above auto's inline 6 cyl engine(3.25X3.75")
Delco-Remy electricals & Schebler carb.
19.1 drawbar hp & 28.3 belt hp at 1500 rpm
Sold exclusively by Sears, Roebuck & Co. catalogs in 1938 & 1939 (row crop or std. config.)
Production ended due to WWII industrial capacity
needs. This production unit was drawn into Henry Kaiser and Frazer car production.
The 1939 Graham Bradley beautifully restored (see both pages of reference) is owned by Dale Gerken of Fort Dodge, Iowa.
The rig shown has side skirts installed.
If anyone out there knows how many of these GB tractors were made during the 2.5 production years I would like to know? Assume 6 volt battery and perhaps xmsn 4F - 1R
