I amm looking at a small Satoh Beaver a buddy has for sale he is a Tractor macanic so I belive it would be in pretty good condition I mean it started right up the other day and seemd to run great..... .. He wants $2500 for the tractor a 4 foot brush hog, a 4 ft tiller, and a box scraper is this seem like a fair price.... to pay it all works well and he uses the stuff often many to just play around as he sais, any info or adviseor opinions would be graetrly apricated, the tractor looks a little ruff but dont all used Tractors....

I bought a Satoh Beaver 370D fwd, 4 years ago and paid $6,000.00 for a loader with bucket, 48" tiller, and 48" bush hog. I had a grade/snow plow built for it 3 years ago for $800.00. I can attest that I get a lot of service out of this tractor on my 10 acre horse farm and don't regret the purchase. It is a cold hearted beast in the winter but after I plug the block heater in for an hour it starts right up. The glow plugs just don't get hot enough. I get filters from NAPA, have had the starter rebuilt at a local automotive electrical shop and any diesel mechanic worth his salt can repair my engine when and if I ever need to. $2,500 is a darn good price to pay for this tractor even if it is only 2wd. My tractor has paid for itself I believe 4 times over with some of the work I've had it due in the past. I just wish it had a "ROPS".

Hey Marc, to me that sounds like a good price especially with all the implements, parts are sometimes hard to find for these little tractors when something does go wrong, the folks over at www.tractorbynet.com can tell you alot more about it than I can, if you go there click on "discussions" then look for the Mitsubishi forum.

I bought a used Beaver at least 15yrs ago and I still use it everyday. Have had to put new pistons in when my brother used ether on it but other than that it's been a great tractor. I've looked at the gearing in the rear axle and it all looks great. Looking for a kit to change the rear PTO to a clockwise rotation so I can install a rear finish mower. Would also like to purchase a backhoe unit for it.
