Sir, I currently farm in Alabama and My grandaddy has 2 Deutz-fahr tractors a 6006 and 4506 both bought brand new. I have both manuals and the 4506
still performs and I have to replace the clutch in our 6006. I have the manuals as well so here is some help. S-high speed transmission,K-creep speeds, F-live pto, and E-no blinker fitted. The engine used was the F4L 912 rated originally @66 horsepower according to what I have been told. I AM CRAZY ABOUT DEUTZ TRACTORS!!! Anyone interested in talking about Deutz, please let me hear from ya! Yahoo I goofed!!!!

Dear Mr Tucker,
I think we spoke before and you were extremely helpful. I have another question - do you have an exploded view of the hydraulic distributeur control valve assembly for the hydraulic lift for my Deutz 6006 in your manual? If so, would it be too much to ask if you could send me it by Email? I have just bought a second-hand part here in France and need to check that I have got it right before I put hydraulic pressure on it. Many thanks in anticipation (image on www.poultons.com/Deutz6006.htm)

Hello, Most D6006 were the row crop models with a flat platform. They were 60pto hp and had a 4 cyl 912 series engine. These were replaced around1975-76 with the D6806. The D6006 was a popular tractor around here (West Michigan). The injection pumps were made by Bosch and were mostly a rotery type in the early D6006 and the inline type late in production. Most injection repair shops can easily fix them.My dad sold them in the 70's and early 80's. We have one parted out and have a lot of new parts for them yet. Give me a email if you need something.

Ronnie got the injector pump fixed and a new tube in the tire. All this only to have transmission problems. The shaft that comes out of the trans that feeds the rear axel has a bad needle bearing. Anyone have a part # for this bearing? Still looking for a manual.

Hi,

the bearing is not a part specially built for the Deutz. Look for the Number at the side of it. You can get it at a Shop which sells ironware and tools. There the bearings are much cheaper like at the Deutz Dealer. I would'nt take an used one. It had to be a SKF-bearing, but You also can take Timken or whatever You want. But remeber, that it is metric and not inch.

the D 6006 had been replaced by the D 6206.
The D 6806 was new, cause the D7006 was replaced by the D 7206. The Replacement was in 1975. The colour turned from dark green into light green, with a dark body. Before that the body was grey.
Only for Export to CDN they painted a few in orange.

Hi,

it seems that Your friend has a Deutz D 6006, built since 1968 till 1972 in the first version, and from 1972 till 1974 in the second. HP is 66/SAE or 62/DIN. Is it possible that it is a SKFL? That means, that it has a syncronized Transmission and Powersteering. The engine is an aircooled Deutz F4L912. The injector Pump is a Bosch PES 4A 80 D 410/3RS, injection pressure of the Pump is 175bar.

hope this helps
