Anyone have any info on a Senator rototiller? Bought one at an auction and don't have owners manual. Drive gearbox is leaking, took cover off and found a washer broken and shaft worn. Model # 51016 43425 5 HP Briggs runs good. Is Senator the manufactorer? Possibly made in the 70's. Can't find any info on web. Help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks Mike,Yeah I found out mine is a 73 also. The only thing wrong with mine is the gearbox is leaking also. I packed the gears with grease and added aliitle gear oil and it is doing fine. These were really made well they don't make them like this anymore. Lawnboy bought out Gilson and some parts are still available. I'm missing the reverse belt but I seem to get by well without it.
Thanks for the reply. If you find that manual I would appreciate a copy of it. Brian McCracken

I have found the manual and will send you a copy once I have your address. Good luck! Mine did about 5 hours of hard tilling this spring so far.

I have this model 10 532 7469, and used it for years. I need to find a replacement for the bronze worm gear that is really worn. The worm itself is steel, and not worn. I would appreciate any information you might have learned about. Thanks. Coy M Bullard

Michael, I recently came across an old Senator tiller (mdl # 10 532 06), and would like to know if you have any copies available or know of any leads on where I might find one.

thanks Kevin

I, also, have a Senator Rototiller. 5HP Briggs - numbers long since worn off. My father bought it in '73. The thing won't die. Drive gearbox leaks a little, but the dirt slows the flow.

My father thinks that Senator was a off-brand name for Gilson rototiller. We are in the process of hunting down the manual among 30 years worth of papers. If I find it I'd be happy to send a copy. Good luck!

I just rescued a Senator Tiller model 51091 44742 from the trash. It needs some work. Could I get a copy of the manual? 48 Tanglewood Drive, Schwenksville, PA 19473

Thanks.
