My zetor lifts arms do not lift as high as they once did. Seems like over the last seven years they have lost about 2-3 in max raised height. Every thing else works as it should. No problems with weight just hieght. I can manually raise the arms higher. Any insight into what part of the lift/hydrauics are at fault?

David,
When was the last time the screen in the rearend was cleaned? If it has one, some do-some dont!
How about the hydrolic filter?
You did not note what model you have.
Peter is the Zetor gurue we dealors call when we get stumpted.
Very smart fella, be patient with his broken english, he is from the Check Republic.
Also, if you have any reputable dealer close at hand, brand does not matter, have them check your hydrolic pressure and reliefe valve setting.
This is done by simply hooking up a gague and valve to the remotes. Takes about 5 minutes.
If I can help call me or Don.

I cleaned the magnetic screan in december and I clean it regurly. Mine is a HMT 2520. My zetor shop manual covers a 2520/2522/3520/3522 and all the pics/diagrams show are for the 3520/22 and does not show a hydraulic filter. I have talked to Peter once before to get the Bosch injection pump number to have my pump rebuilt because the dealer said the manual was wrong and it ran off of the engine oil and I ran it out of oil. Maybe I will give him a call again.

David,
Actually that is a Zebra, not a Zetor.
It was imported by American Jawa, the same folks that imports Zetor, but was built in India by another company.
This is not a bad thing though, I have sold hundreds of these in my area and most are still on the job today.
A super little tractor at a fair price!
Sadly, American Jawa quit importing them and replaced them with another brand, Century.
Parts and service is still available for these nifty little tractors and should be for many years to come so dont get nervious that you will be left hanging.
Give me a call if needed.

Call Zetor in Harrisburg,Pa. and ask for Peter Laznicka. He is an exceptional mechanic and knows more about Zetor tractors than anyone.
