I have located a 'Barber Greene' tractor on my parents farm and looking to restore it. Need any information on the company etc to get parts etc. Have no information on them at the moment. Is it going to prove a diffucult job?

Tractor has Hydraulic drive system, large blade at the front, is called a runabout. Has canopy, and is green all over. I can provide photo's if it would help to identify.

I think it is a '705B Runabout Ditcher' from anywhere between 1948 and 1953, but not sure. Have machine number etc.

Any information would be more than l have. I hope someone can help

I am sorry to be so late, but I just ran across your web site. What you have is a Barber-Greene Runabout vertical boom ditcher which was widely used to install utility services. I worked for the comany from 1950 until a few years ago, and may be able to give you some help. Unfortunately, the ditcher line was dropped in the 1970's, but there may still be some sources of parts. The company, which was headquartered in Aurora, IL, is no longer in business, although some of their paving products are being manufactured by Caterpillar.
