I have obtained an old ADAMS road grader. The only info I can find is on a plate beneath the cab. It has "EDA 50" on it, and "Serial Number 17971A". It is old...Apparently is a diesel, but started via gasoline then switched over??

I need a source for a manual, service info, etc..Specifically info on how to do fluid changes, etc. It doesn't seem to go into low gear either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Kelley, I'm Tim from Caledonia MN. I've got a 1942 Adams not sure what model but I've had it for about two weeks, but I've operated it for my college for two years and also done some gear box rebuilding on it ( just recently graduated from the diesel and heavy equipment program) the school put it up for sale and I bought it to do side work along side of being a mechinic.
I decided to drive it home but I got half-way and my clutch came apart so I could not get it in gear, so now I'm in the process of pulling the clutch out not too bad of a job but time consuming.
You asked the ? about low range it probably rounded gear teeth and the gears will not mesh my HI/LO range were severely chipped and rounded. e-mail me back and we will find service manuals because I need one to for oil compacities!!!!
