Here is a 1650 Oliver diesel that I recently purchased and pulled home yesterday. The owners were very nice people but took poor care of this tractor.

It was parked 4-5 yrs ago because of a blown head gasket. They took the sheet metal off so the cows could walk all over it.The stack wasnt covered so now the engine is stuck. The Hydra Power is out on low side. The battery boxes are rusted out.I got it bought rather cheaply because of all the problems.

I asked on here about towing it home and wrenchbender gave some good advice. After freeing up the stuck brakes we put the NF up on the back of my trailer and boomed it down..We put extra oil in the rearend, pulled the chain coupler, and stuck it in 6th gear.It towed 45 miles home nicely.

I guess I'll pull the head and see what shape its in.Then its either fix it or part it out.

I think you have a fun project there. Should be a nice tractor when you finish. Like Don said, you should be able to find the sheet metal in a bone yard some where.

It doesn't look too bad from the picture, but I'm sure the engine is another story... A rebuild kit shouldn't be too bad for this girl either. Sheet metal shouldn't be hard to find at all, plenty are in the bone yards to pick from.
