Do a search (on this site under Tractor photos) for a Cockshutt 550 and you'll find my 1967 White 2-44LL that was originally painted Cockshutt colours and decaled as a 1967 Cockshutt 550.

Its a real workhorse!

You are correct, it is a late 550 industrial.

Some time in about 1967 or so Oliver (White Motors) wanted to put the White name on the Oliver industrial tractors. So the White-Oliver name appeared.

In about 1970 they did away with the Oliver name on the industrial equipment. From then on only the White name apperead on the construction equipment.

In 1967 to the last industrial (construction) tractors that White built were:
550 AG = 2-44 Ind.
1550 & 1555 AG = 2-62 Ind.
1650 & 1655 Ag = 2/4 78 -- 2 78 (2 wheel drive) 4 78 (4 wheel drive)
1850 AG = 2 or 4 105 IND.
1950 AG = 2 or 4 115 IND.
2050 AG = 2 or 4 128 IND.
2150 AG = 2 or 4 144 IND. also 4-144 EHD (extra heavy 4 wheel drive).
The 1750 was never built as an industrial and I do not think the 2050 (2/4 128) was either, but I have see it listed some where, so I included it here.

Later (early to mid 70's) they built a 2-63 and a 2/4 80, but they did match up to any of the AG. tractors.

I hope this helps.

I mis-stated my last paragraph.

I should have said that the 2-63 and the 2/4-80 did NOT match up to any AG.tractors.

Kent, Most of the 550 industrials and 2-44's were painted yellow.

I have a 2-44 LL with a 613 backhoe. The tractor itself was orginally yellow but when they mounted the loader (LL) and the backhoe on it, it was painted orange, with no yellow under the orange on the loader or hoe.

I have the advertisments for both the White-Oliver and later White 2-44's and it shows the tractor in yellow only.

However Oliver would probably have painted it Green or any other color a person wanted.

Don't forget and I don't remember exactly when, but the industrial 2-44 tractors were pained the Texex type green paint also.
