How much oil does the rear end hold (80-90)? I'm going to town and need to but haven't drained it yet, would like to know how many gallons to get. Thanks.

Takes a little more then 5 gallons. I usually buy 2 pails of oil.
Be careful there is a White 2-85 sitting around here with a busted rear end. The owner tried to change the 80-90 oil but put the new oil in the hydraulic section and not in the lower rear end. Made it half way across the field before the rear locked up. I've been here 10 years and this happened before that--it just sits waiting for the mechanic to get to it.
