Here are some pics of our 1850 with a wastegated turbo from a 5.9 Cummins. We redid the air cleaner housing rotating it end for end and 180* in rotation. The end of the fuel tank for was cut off for more room. To mount the turbo we screwed pipe fitting into the exhaust manifold. The inlet to the intake manifold was relocated to the center for more even air distribution. We also added a larger oil cooler in front of the radiator. The engine was out of our 2-105 that we put a 5.9 Cummins in. We rebuilt it with DOT 4 pistons, the original 1850 front cover and accesories. Injection pump has the larger 10mm head with the fuel maxed out. The tractor was running about 160Hp for a number of years out of the original engine. With the 5.9 cummins turbo configuration, it's close to 180-190 Hp with little smoke. I got it running Saturday after finishing up the 2-155 conversion about 2 weeks ago. Hopefully next weekend I'll be able to finsih it and take it for a spin. It will get used on the farm planting corn, blower work, hauling wagons, and some tractor pulling too!

Looks like a good job to me. Hope you can get enough air thru that air cleaner. I put a 354 turbo out of a 750 MF combine in my 1850. Had a pipe made to hook up to factory air cleaner and every time I opened the throttle wide open, tripped the restriction indicator. Ended up using the air cleaner off the 750. Hope yours works. Chris

Will the stock rad and water pump be adequate?

Tractor never really gets used constantly at high Hp, so we never really had problems with overheating. We don't have a gauge to know what amount of restriction it has. Black smoke always cleared up at about 1400-1500, so restriction can't be too high. Did you have an inner element in yours? In our 2-105, it seems like it restricts a fair amount of air.
