Hopefully the pics are here of the 2-155 with a 8.3 Cummins. Tractor has over 10k hours on. Engine is rated at 170Hp which will eventually be over 200Hp. We used factory White 160 motor mounts, installed the double disc clutch, White 160 pto shaft and flywheel. We also needed an SAE #3 bellhousing for the over/under and engine, and the long 3spd input shaft. We decided to make the exhaust out of black iron pipe, which turned out well and to put a 5" stack on it. The air cleaner I just mounted to the rear of the engine. The green elbow is off a 2155 Oliver. It was exactly what I needed to get me around the corner and was the right size. We reused the existing fan by elongating the bolt holes. I had to cut the bottom of the fan shroud down about an 1" and make the holes in the hood a little larger too. We were testing the clutch on the 2-155 and manage to get the front end 6" off the ground. I only had to drill the back two holes for the motor mounts. The whole project was easier than I thought it would be. The engine sure does sound nice with the 5" pipe.

That's a SAE2 Housing. A SAE3 is what you took off.

I knew it was an SAE #2, but managed to somehow mistype it. I was sure I punched the right number. Thanks for correcting my boo boo. This was the tractor you sent parts in for for the Klingler Bros out of the 160. I got the 1850 engine with the turboed perkins just about ready to drop in as soon as I get the hydrapower done.

By the way, I shoulda mentioned the first time that it looks awful good. been doin alot of cummins deals lately. you guys, a couple guys in NY have been doing a couple 1855's, last week a guy got a complete package, new engine and all for a 1955. A guy in PA is converting a 1850 from a perkins to a 5.9, Got a guy coming sat morning with a bus engine so I can make sure we get everything right to put it in his 1800C, and I talked to a guy this week that sounded like he was getting in the truck to go buy his neighbors 18 that just blew a rod out to convert it. Been keepin me scrambling to keep parts on the shelf. I don't remember you getting a tach drive setup, did that one have a digital in it?

Yeah,we got a tach from you also. It had the digital one in it that lit up but didn't work correctly. Wiring was fine.

Looks good! I didn't realize the tractor was a PFA model. This makes the conversion more worth the while. You are to be commended for your workmanship! Enjoy your "new" "Workhorse"!

Would you care to post the part numbers of any aftermarket parts? For example, the manufacturer and part number of the bellhousing.....and anything else you can think of. I believe there are a few people on this group who would like that info. The subject comes up quite a bit.

I could tell you what's needed, but I don't have many of the part #s. Brad Maibach (BM) was great. He helped us out a great deal. We have right around $5,000 - $5,500 in the conversion including the engine. Now we have a 2-105 with a 5.9 and a 2-155 with an 8.3.

I'm currently in the process of wrapping up sticking a 6BTA in my 2-135. As an output of the project, I'm working on creating a website that details how to do the conversion with a listing of all the Cummins part numbers to configure the engine properly.

The web site is a great idea. I dare say that there is enough people looking at repowers that you could almost turn it into a business. With the price of oil rising every day there is absolute potential to pay for a repower in fuel savings alone.
It occurs to me that the diesel engine manufacturers are missing out on a realy big potential market for everything from taxi's to pick-up trucks.
