I currently have a narrow front on my 1600 that I pull with and was wondering if anybody could give me an educated guess on how much weight I would gain by going to a wide front. I use this tractor simply for tractor pulling and would like to keep the front end as light as possible. If I go to the wide front, I would probably eliminate the sliding adjustment tubes on the axle and weld spindles directly to the axle.

I took a flywheel of an old small square baler, and I'm going to mount it on top of the standard front wheight on my Cockshutt 1650, for 3 point hitch implements. Should add somewhere around 200 to 400 pounds.
