Tractor Starts But Won't Run

I own a Ford NAA tractor it was running end of last week fine but today for some reason it will start up run for a minute and then shut down. Now I do notice it when it starts up it idels really fast before quiting. Could it be the last time I started it before shuting down I forgot to move the idel lever all the way down so before starting it moved the lever now this. Wonder what is going on here it's getting fuel but is it getting enough does just a trickle flow to the carburetor. It has me a little perplexed I know it's nothing real serious. Input on this would be appreciated. I also installed a drain valve could this cause air to be drawn in somehow that too is the only difference I have done.

Does it have an external fuel filter in the gas line?

How much gas is in the tank?

When is the last time you cleaned the fuel screens?
