My dad is a huge Ford fan. He is very ill, and has always wanted to go to the Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. We are planning on taking him soon. He also would like to go to a tractor musuem. We live in Kentucky...do you know of any good places for us to go to see Ford Tractors? If it is on our way...that would be excellent...but if not...we'll manage!
Thanks!

He won't be disappointed by the Ford Museum and Grenfield Village. Plan a full day for the museum and a full day for the Village.

Ford also just opened a new exhibit called "Spirit of Ford" at the museum complex. While it's more of an advertisement than the museum and Village, it's still very worthwhile if you're into cars.

Also, if you're coming in the summer, call ahead or look at the website for Greenfield Village. They have something special going on almost every weekend. The thing that might be best is the Pageant of Power - some time in August, I think. Steam engines, gigantic oil engines, any number of tractors an steam traction engines, &c, &c.

Enjoy the visit.

I thought the Ford Museum in Dearborn was outstanding. My dad, who goes back to the days of steam threshing and was driving tractors in the 1920s, thinks it is wonderful and has gone four or five times. Lots of machines and implements there you could never see anywhere else, all in beautiful condition with lots of information.
