Finally got them hooked up. Didn't have to replace the lift pins on the bush hog after all...
Still might lower the wheel 1 notch to raise the deck a little more. Dragged a little today but not bad at all.

Looks good Sean. How about the weather down there? We got hammered w/ 70mph winds & heavy rain, looked like a hurricane.

Jeff

Sean..... ...ya didder good. Used a longer 3/4 toplink pin to hold the notched tie-brackets and then you SECURED yer excess limit chain-ends with zip-ties. I eventually put regular snap-links on mine 'cuz I kept runnin' outta zips (grin). I also used the inside length of the brushhog lower link pin to hold my limit chains tag-end. But yer solution will work too..... Dell, the ORC Safety Preacher

That longer pin works good. I use it on my dirt scoop too.(standard 2 3/4 pin is not long enough for my dirt scoop.) I was thinking shackles on the excess chain. Using bailing wire for now. Had to get some mowing done. Glad I did to... cuz it is raining again...Will need to cut again next week...

Cool
I use same thing on brush hog, box blade and tiller. One thing I did was paint the link that i use to brush hog black, paint wears off but it still keeps some on so you don"t have to count links when using it. I have the howard gears so I use 4ft tiller.
