We know which one we want now, but can't afford it. So this week I'm working to raise funds for it and the safety gear you all mentioned. (We had no idea how much that would all add up to, and decided not to "cut corners" for fear of cutting other things we'd rather not cut - like ourselves!) Sorry I didn't get back to you all sooner to let you know what's happening. And thanks for asking about it!

Wise sales has great deals. You have to google it. Husky 350 is $300 and 142$ $210. No tax or shipping and comes with 3 chains. The Husky hard hat/earmuffs/face sceen that comes in the safty kit is a plastic cheesy thing I would pass on. A company called Baileys is also online and it is an arborist favorit.

Thank you, Stumpalump! However, to our enormous amaze and delight, we just learned today (after my post; I didn't know yet) that we've been donated a chainsaw!!!! So we're going to get some gear and learn how to use it properly from that fellow in town who helps us with stuff from time to time. (We want to make sure we don't make dangerous mistakes right off the bat.) I'll sure look at the safety stuff at Wise but will skip the kit you mention. Thanks for the very timely information!
