101k..... ..there really ain't no-good shadetree mechanic meter testing of the squarecan frontmount ignition coil. ...but... you can make a "calibrated" sparkie tester that will tell you how good yer coil is. Take enny-ol' sparkie and bend the side electrode out for a full 3/16" gap. Clamp the metal sparkie shell to enny convient engine bracket. Plug in enny sparkie wire to top of yer calibrated sparkie tester. NOW try and start yer engine. Generally yer N-Engine will start and run on 3-cylinders so don't worry. And even iff'n it don't start, you should still gitt sparkies jumping.

VISUALLY INSPECT yer calibrated sparkie tester for sparkies jumping the gap. Are they jumping with blue-snott authority? Or are they a wimpy orangish/yellowish poor excuse of a sparkie? Or NO Sparkies at all?

As to why yer sparkies ain't blue-snott, usually its the points & gap or weaksister ignition switch..... ....Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
