Besides the serial number, what would be the distinguishing items that a '52 8N would have versus all other 9/2/8Ns?

Also, the late '52s have enlarged rear axle trumpets to accommodate the inner oil seals.

Without the serial number there is no way to tell an early 52 from a late 51. There was a change midway through the 52 year starting at serial number 442035. The transmission housing was enlarged on the left rear side to accomodate a larger gear for a lower reverse ratio. Late model 8ns had numerous changes such as the side mount distributor, plastic screw on transmission knob,regular automotive style coil. There are many differences between the 9N/2N and the 8N. Notably the 8N had both brakes on the right side of the tractor and came with running boards..etc..
