Does anyone have a late model flywheel out of the tractor who could tell me how it is marked in detail. I know the marks are 180* apart but could someone tell me the measurements between each degree and what degree markings are on the flywheel? 0*, 4*, 10*, 15*, 20* ( a photo would be great too but measurements would certainly do.)

I have a late model short block and an early model flywheel from the last motor which was for a front mount dist. now.

I would like to mark my flywheel before I assemble the motor and reinstall.

Measure the circumference of the flywheel. Divide by 360. This is the distance for 1 degree. Mark accordingly.

Marking the degrees does you little good if you don't kown where to start. I have the same problem on mine. This is what I would do: Put the flywheel on. Take a mag-base Indicator put the tip on the #1 piston and find TDC(with both valves closed). Mark the flywheel through the window. Then mark the degrees both ways for about 20 degrees I would go in increments of 4 degrees.
