A friend has a a 1-155 white for sale. He said that it has a minneapolis moline motor in it and that it has a external oil pump that is belt driven. My question is how bad is this and what is a good price for the tractor? It is in good shape with duals included. Any other problems they had ? I can use a bigger tractor but don't need a problem one.

If the tractor is a 2-155 it does not have an MM 585 power plant. If the tractor is a 2-150, then it has the 585 cu mm engine just like the 1355 and 2270. The external oil pump is a large plus. The internal pumps failed and caused major motor problems. A G1355 (painted Oliver green) sold for 5000 last week in Bowling Green, Oh. The tractor was in good shape and open station. I have seen 150's in the 5-7500 range. Expect to spend an equal amount on tires and overhaul sooner or later. We run 2, 150's, a 2270 and a 1355 on our dairy farm. All have the same power plant. The 1355 was overhauled and an altitude compansator installed (turbo). She pulls a 18 ft. disk with a 18 ft field cultivator and an 18 ft. double packer in forth gear (4-6) mph

The 2-150 White had the Minneapolis Moline engine in it.I don`t know about the belt driven oilpump? We bought a 2-150 about a year ago that had a rebuilt engine but looked real ruff (rattle canned all silver) no dulals. We payed 3,500.

The 2-155 had a 478 Hercules. I'm prtetty sure the oil pump was internal. The external oil pump on the 2-150 was gear driven and definitely was big improvement on the 585 MM engine.
