Hello to all! I am searching on the web for my father who is interested in purchasing a 1950 MM tractor. If anyone knows of a specific sight to start looking for such a tractor for sale I would greatly appreciate an e-mail back. Thanks--Ann

Hello Ann,

What part of the country is your father located in? This info will help locate a 1950 tractor for him. Hauling costs can be a significant part of the purchase price.

In 1950 MM sold the following models and series listed with the smallest size first.

1. 1950 Model "RT" a 27 belt horsepower, one to two plow tractor, around 3300 lbs.
2. 1950 Model "ZA" a 37 belt horsepower, two to three plow tractor, around 3800 lbs.
3. 1950 Model "UT" a 49 belt horsepower, three to four plow tractor, around 4600 lbs.
4. 1950 Model "GT" a 58 belt horsepower, four to five plow tractor, around 6600 lbs.

The Minneapolis-Moline “Visionlined” tractors began in 1936. The following Prairie Gold “Letter” models were offered between 1936-59.

Model “R” 1939-55 23.22 belt hp early years to 27.09 belt hp late years
Model “Z” 1936-55 26.84 belt hp early years to 37.48 belt hp late years
Model “U” 1938-57 36.48 belt hp early years to 51.27 belt hp late years
Model “G” 1938-59 55.00 belt hp early years to 74.95 belt hp late years

Good luck,
John McLucas
