Hey, I have a 1949 UTU and i know it stands for Universal. But what to all the other UT's and U's stand for and what are them all. I know of the UTU, UTS, UTC, and U what others ones are there? What sets all these models apart? Thanks Mike

On some nameplates you will only see the letter "U". The reason is that it started as a U and the name plate was not updated as to what was added as it went down the assembly line as to what parts were put on...This is kind of the reasoning behind why so many parts are inter-changeable on Molines...deadeye

UTS-Standard U
UTU-Row crop U narrow front end
UTE-Adjustable wide front end
UTC-High Crop or Cane Tractor
UTI-Industrial U
UTIL-Industrial with shuttle shift
UTIL-M military version of above
UTS-D or UDS- diesel version of the standard U
UDU-diesel version of the UTU

Plus the others I'm not remembering off the top of my head.
