Went to a tractor show today and saw a midsized Minne, sorry I forget the model but it had 2 gas lines going to the carb. One line commming from the front of the tank and one from the back of the tank. I am not too familer with the Molines and was wondering is this a usuall setup or a custom job someone did to it. First time I ever saw 2 lines going to the carb on a tractor. If this is the usuall setup what is the purpose of the two lines? Any other tractor seems to get along fine with just one line. An antique tractor fan curious about something I haven't seen before. Thanks in advance for any info on this setup.

One part of the tank held gas, the other kerosene.Kerosene was cheaper to burn at the time but hard to start a tractor on. You started the tractor on gas, pre-heated the motor and kerosene, then switched over to burn kerosene.

Sounds like an old one that was set up to run on tractor fuel. You started them on gasoline then when they were warmed up you switched over. Hence the two lines.
