My grandpa has a tractor that he is wanting me to restore. The problem is that none of us are sure what brand it is. We call it an Avery because on the back in the cast it has B F AVERY. I also know that minne moline Made a model BF for 2 or 3 years (LOOKING SIMILAR) it has red and yellow paint when you scratch through it. If anyone knows any info or what th year is, Thanks in advance. Aaron I have pics if I can figure out how to post.

I think its a model V. BF avery produced these before MM bought them out but MM continued to produce them under the MM name and continued to call them the V. The only way to tell is the check the serial numbers which would be stamped directly into one of the frame rails.

Does this tractor have a narrow or wide front end?

If it is narrow does it have one front wheel or two?

Does it have 28 inch rear wheels or 24 inch wheels?

MM bought out BF Avery in early '50, so if it is an Avery it would be an early '50

Look for the serial number on the frame near the clutch on the right hand side. Then look up the year on the left of the page or post back here.
