I know where there is a '38 ZTU in south Texas. I have looked at it and it is 95% complete. All sheet metal is good, needs a generator and a breather assembly. The lights all three have broken lenses but I am sure they could be replaced. You can still faintly read the MM logo on the fuel tank. Not sure if motor is stuck or not, transmission is free and will shift. Looks like a good restoration tractor. Owner wants $650 for it. If interested, cantact me via e-mail and I will put you in touch with him.

From personal experience with a '44 ZTU, I would recommend that a person take the time to remove the engine side inspection plate and take a good look at the internal engine parts. The rig I picked up looked much like you describe, but when I got it home I found the engine was beyond repair. $650 is too high for a seized engine on wheels.

Where in South Texas is this tractor located. I live in Central Texas and am interested.
