I have never restored anything before. I would like to restore the pedal tractor that I had as a child to mint condition so I can give it to my future child being born in May. Question is how difficult is it to restore an old pedal tractor and what are some of the problems I can expect.

Most of the pedal tractors are made out of cast aluminium. So if there are any cracks or breaks it takes a alum. welder to fix them.

To remove the old paint it is best to just sand blast them.

Other than that most all parts are available to buy to replace the bad parts.

So go for it and enjoy.

to change out in insides does the tractor have to be split. There is a lot of extra movement in the steering.
