Hi, I am looking to start collecting model tractors and I am looking for a brand of model that is recomrned by others. I am looking for something that is not that expensive. They must also be of decent quality aswell. I am looking for recomendations John Deere, IHC/Farmall and Ford. Thanks Ben

If you decide on a brand let me know. I am selling off a lot of my collection. I have all makes and models. I decided to stick to just Minneapolis Moline. Thanks Jason

I would say it depends on what brand you prefer. Myself I am an IH guy so you won't see many "other" brands in my collection. I try to sneak one in every once in awhile but the wife to be finds out and she gets a little mad at me. I also agree with Gary about the High Detail series, very nice and alot cheaper than precision ones. Expect to pay $100+ for each precision tractor and maybe $50 to $75 for a high detail.

I agree with IaGary about the Spec Cast tractors. You might do a Google on Spec Cast and maybe you can find some dealers near you.

If I were starting today I would collect the toys made by Spec Cast.

They are called the high detailed series.

And they are just that, high detail at a good price.

Gary,

Good answer to the lad, for sure. If I weren't slowing down my toy collecting, I'd be looking for more of the Spec Cast items.

You bet Stan

I think the High Detailed Series will be worth some good money some day.

They are almost the same as the Precision Series at about half the cost or less.

Been trying to keep up with the red ones but they have built a lot of them.

Ya I hear ya on that one about the red ones. I used to think I could never find an IH model and now they are everywhere. Although my resources have expanded alot since the time I couldn't find any also.
